San Francisco has been the home of Usha Rajagopal since she embarked on a Fellowship in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California at San Francisco in 1993. After leaving her role within the University of California at San Francisco family, the University of Texas Southwestern graduate began to build on the impressive experience she had built as a Resident at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas with her work at the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center.
Over the years, Dr. Rajagopal has built a reputation for her belief in developing the latest techniques and technology to use to the advantage of her patients including the use of Laser technologies. For surgical techniques, the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center has recently been seeking to utilize the opportunities offered by 3-D imaging technology which allows patients to view a visual representation of how the procedure they undertake will affect their body in a clear to understand way. The impressive career of Dr. Usha Rajagopal dates back to her studies which began at the University of Texas at Dallas and led to her attending the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where she achieved her Master’s and completed a Research Fellowship. During her training, Dr. Rajagopal completed six years of training at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas where she learned much of the basis for her later work as a plastic surgeon; since moving to the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center, the surgeon has become a member of many of the leading surgical associations in the U.S. including The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and The American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
To those living and working in the Bay Area, Dr. Rajagopal has become a friendly and soothing voice when questions and issues arise about cosmetic surgery sector due to her many different appearances on TV and radio, and in print magazines. A regular contributor to the Health Beat TV show in San Francisco, Usha Rajagopal has also written for and contributed on many occasions to the Readers Digest organization on plastic surgery procedures.
In terms of her own personal success, Dr. Rajagopal has earned numerous awards which have cemented her place as the premier plastic surgeon in the Bay Area over the last two decades. Recently, Dr. Rajagopal was given the 2017 Best Plastic Surgeon Award by The San Francisco Examiner and the RealSelf Most Loved Injector honor.
